The International Journal of Integrated Legal Systems (IJILS) invites scholars, researchers, legal practitioners, and graduate students to submit high-quality manuscripts for its upcoming issues. IJILS is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to exploring the interconnections between diverse legal traditions and systems in a rapidly globalizing world.

Aims and Scope

IJILS focuses on integrative approaches to legal analysis, including but not limited to:

  • Comparative legal systems

  • Interaction between religious law and state law

  • Legal pluralism and hybrid legal systems

  • International and transnational legal theory

  • Integration of customary, civil, and common law traditions

  • Harmonization of law in multilevel governance (national, regional, global)

  • Legal reform and policy development in multi-normative societies

We welcome interdisciplinary submissions that address legal integration in relation to politics, religion, culture, technology, economics, and human rights.

  • Articles should be original and not under consideration elsewhere.

  • Manuscripts must follow the IJILS style guide and referencing format.

  • Submissions must be in English (or bilingual with an English abstract).
